Homelite Consumer Products, Inc. warrants its outdoor tools and equipment with the following conditions:
What This Warranty Covers
This warranty covers all defects in workmanship or materials in your Homelite outdoor tools and equipment for a period of one year from the date of purchase.
How To Get Service
Just return the outdoor tool or equipment, properly packaged and postage prepaid to a Homelite Authorized Service Center. You can obtain the location of the Service Center nearest to you by contacting a customer service representative at (800)525-2579 or on-line through our Service Center locater at www.Homelitetools.com. When you request warranty service, you must also present proof of purchase documentation (sales receipt/bill of sale). We will repair any faulty workmanship, and either repair or replace any defective part at our option. Work will be performed without charge to your. We will complete the work in a reasonable time, but in any case, within ninety days.
What Is Not Covered
This warranty applies only to the original purchaser at retail and may not be transferred. This warranty only covers defects arising under normal usage and does not cover any malfunctions, failure, or defects resulting from misuse, abuse, neglect, alteration, modification or repairs by other than Homelite Authorized Service Centers. Homelite makes not warranties, representations or promises as to the quality or performance of its outdoor tools and equipment other than those specifically stated in this warranty.
Additional Limitations
Any implied warranty granted under state law, including warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose are limited to one year from the date of purchase. Homelite is not responsible for direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damages. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts and/or do not allow the exclusion of limitation of incidental damages, so the above limitations are exclusions may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.

This is my first chainsaw. I'm an all-around handyman at the house and for friends/family. Bought this to take fallen branches down.
The saw is simply fantastic. It went through several fallen branches that took two truckloads to remove. It made quick work out of the project. I was so impressed with it I now offer to help anyone who needs branches taken down or trim work down. Perhaps one day even felling a tree because I'm sure this saw will be up for whatever I would dare take on.

Hope this helps all who may have any doubts. I have been cutting firewood for thirty years. I was a little skeptical when buying this new saw. It is to replace a Super XL that I have been using for years. After recieving it in only a few days by normal delivery, everything looked near perfect condition(very few blemishes). I oiled and fueled it up and went to the woods. It started with-in a couple of pulls and ran smooth. I fell three oak trees with a 24 to 30 inch base, trimed all limbs and cut it up into 18 inch lengths to be split for firewood in about half of the time it takes with my old SXL. I ran two tanks of oil & gas, and tightened the chain one time. No problems at all with any isuses. It is a lot lighter in weight saw than the SXL. My first thoughts were "how's this lightweight going to cut anything without pushing a lot of down pressure on it". My afterthoughts..."I'm using this saw as my first choice now after cuting like a hot knife through butter." Only time will tell if it holds up as good as my old SXL, but were off to a real good start!

I bought this new, not reconditioned. Chain flies off, bends, bar bends, doesn't start when you need it, only starts when you are trying to prove to your friends that it doesn't start.
Chain tensioner is a horrid idea. There is a reason the two bolt system has been in use for so long. Chainsaws and rinky dinky plastic thinky's don't mix.
Oils excessively when not in use.
I think I will use it as a planter.

Shipped on time. Arrive within time limit. At first hard to crank but after a few minutes of run time the saw cranked up on first or second pull and has run great from then on just wish they made a bigger one.

For the price, a solid performer for home use. Not for professional use. My buddy's Husquavana cut rings around it, but it was also triple the cost. We had a record breaking storm, literally the worst ever for downed trees a power lines. Dubbed the "Haloween Storm" in CT. All of the local [@] etc. immediately ran out of chainsaws. Saw this one online and even with standard shipping, it was delivered within 3 day and on a Sat. morning. It was a life saver. You could tell it was slightly used, but the bar and chain were new. It started right up and ran very well.

Started, ran, and cut wood. Make sure you follow starting instructions. Cut a cord of up to 12" dead dry lodge pole and no trouble. Started easily while temperatures we're in the mid 20s f. I'll buy another for a spare.
