Homelite Consumer Products, Inc. warrants its outdoor tools and equipment with the following conditions:
What This Warranty Covers
This warranty covers all defects in workmanship or materials in your Homelite outdoor tools and equipment for a period of one year from the date of purchase.
How To Get Service
Just return the outdoor tool or equipment, properly packaged and postage prepaid to a Homelite Authorized Service Center. You can obtain the location of the Service Center nearest to you by contacting a customer service representative at (800)525-2579 or on-line through our Service Center locater at www.Homelitetools.com. When you request warranty service, you must also present proof of purchase documentation (sales receipt/bill of sale). We will repair any faulty workmanship, and either repair or replace any defective part at our option. Work will be performed without charge to your. We will complete the work in a reasonable time, but in any case, within ninety days.
What Is Not Covered
This warranty applies only to the original purchaser at retail and may not be transferred. This warranty only covers defects arising under normal usage and does not cover any malfunctions, failure, or defects resulting from misuse, abuse, neglect, alteration, modification or repairs by other than Homelite Authorized Service Centers. Homelite makes not warranties, representations or promises as to the quality or performance of its outdoor tools and equipment other than those specifically stated in this warranty.
Additional Limitations
Any implied warranty granted under state law, including warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose are limited to one year from the date of purchase. Homelite is not responsible for direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damages. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts and/or do not allow the exclusion of limitation of incidental damages, so the above limitations are exclusions may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.

This trimmer is quite powerful. Its light and easy to use. Its difficult starting from cold, and its not that great on gas. The gas tank is small. The poor fuel efficiency wouldn't bother me if the gas tank was bigger, but then it would be heavier and this is pretty light. Works great for edging and cutting weeds out. I have a small piece of property and its perfect for what I need it for.

Looked to be almost completely new. The only indication it wasn't was rust on the metal inside the gas cap. That's a sure sign that it has had fuel in it before. I kind of wish they had replaced the cap, but otherwise it started and ran great.

Works Great but I am taking engine off to replace on the cultivator since it broke the crankshaft right between the two crankshaft bearings. one rock too many, poor cultivator thinks it is a trencher. Great product, great people, wonderful source for home lite products.

This is a great little weedeater. Its light easy to start and powerful enough to get the job done got it early this spring used it 5 or 6 times already works great but it could use a little bigger gas tank gotta fill it twice to do my big yard.Other than that its great!!!!

started 1st pull. works great for around the house. i recomend taking off and changing trimmer feed line head and putting on aftermarket from [...] or similar place. it will WORK A LOT BETTER mine does. 2nd year sarted right up and good to go. keep right size string DO NOT use bigger string size wont stay running when trimming. MAKE SURE GAS OIL MIX IS RIGHT this will cause running problems and make it want to die. a little bit of trial and error on my part, but overall satisfied. small and mighty. wont recomend for the lawn pro. good for homeowner.

Homelite use to have one of the best trimmers on the market.Now the new models are not worth caring home.Bought one of them ,used it one time and returned it .Have bought Homelite trimmers for over 25 years and was so pleased with them.Now I have to try to find another brand comparable to the old Homelite.

Product is easy to understand for the avg home owner. Power is just fine for normal use. I found that if I were to puchase this product again I would get the straight pole rather than the curved. I am only 5'8" and the curve becomes too short when using it other than just edging so, you have to lean over which may cause low back stain with prolonged use. Also, the motor is positioned close to the throttle (trigger) and causes one to have to hold the unit in an uncomfortable possition in order to stay away from a hot engine.
String replacement is straight forward, just make certain you wind in the correct direction. (normally this will only be a one time mistake) Oil & gas mix is easy. Starting is nomaly easy. Extended use (over 1hr cont. Use) the motor will get hot and need a break to cool (4-5min) before running again. Usually string will need replacement during this period as well.
Other than those issues and the ever popular string nut tightener "cover" comming off after bumping it to increase line length, it is a good little machine.
