Comments about Homelite Homelite Factory-Reconditioned 46cc 20" Gas Chain Saw:

I have ran some big saws, but this one is great for around the house and farm, the downfall to this saw is the chain it comes with, throw it as far away from this saw as possible all it does is make sawdust,I went down to my local saw shop, and got 2 new non-kickback chains ($32.00) and wow this saw becomes transformed,it will slice and dice and julian, i would recommend warm it up and let it cool off 3 times before u put the boots to it, its good to let the engine break in

Comments about Homelite Homelite Factory-Reconditioned 46cc 20" Gas Chain Saw:

Good product for the price. Bought because of the large bar length to cut up a very large tree. Started easily and the low vibration design makes it very comfortable to use.

Comments about Homelite Homelite Factory-Reconditioned 46cc 20" Gas Chain Saw:

excellent saw for clearing and firewood cutting, have cut 3 to 4 ft. diameter oak trees with no problem whatsoever. easy to start, fuel efficient, lightweight and has plenty of power with the 46cc engine. The only minor problem was a very fast idle, which was easily adjusted with the easily accessible idle screw. would definitely recommend it to anyone with larger trees.

This item was never reconditioned. The air intake was clogged with debris and the unit was covered in oil.

Comments about Homelite Homelite Factory-Reconditioned 46cc 20" Gas Chain Saw:

I haven't really had the saw long enough to really say how well it will hold up. But, for now, I am pleased with its performance. The only negative was loose nuts on the exhaust and a missing screw on the plastic shraud. Didn't realize I needed to check for missing or loose pieces.

Comments about Homelite Homelite Factory-Reconditioned 46cc 20" Gas Chain Saw:

This saw paid for itself in four days of cutting hard woods. I cut white oak over three feet thick. Red oak the same, hackberry, elm and many other hardwoods. It worked great. My last homelight super xl12 lasted 20 + years and would still be going but the only thing that failed was a bolt loosened behing the flywheel and I thought it was locking up. I tore into it and found the problem but decided to rebuild it anyway but the parts were not to be found easily so I bought this one. I hope I get another 25 years out of this one!

Comments about Homelite Homelite Factory-Reconditioned 46cc 20" Gas Chain Saw:

The saw cuts very well with very good anti-vibration handles, very comfortable, not too heavy. Has a heavyduty chain that does not stretch as fast as others I have had. Large heavy-duty carring case. The only complaint is the carb setting when it arrived were set too lean for my area. Due to EPA regulations it takes special tools to adjust the carbs on any new chainsaw. I had to improvise to get this done. I think if I had kept running it the way it arrived it would have scored the cylender or maybe that is the way the EPA wants them all set now.

I purchases a Homelite 46cc 20" Pro from CPO[$] [...]The tool sent with the saw to loosen the nuts that hold the bar on and to tighten the chain is the wrong size and does not fit the nuts. The online ad on the CPO web site states it comes with a Deluxe carrying case. The one I got did not come with a case. [...]
