Received saw and couldnt wait to try it out.Started right up after primed and choked with no problems, although the temp outside was in the 20s.I mainly got this to trim some tree branches when it warms up.Cant be beat for this price and I couldnt tell mine from a brand new one.Ive bought several tools from CPO Outlet and this was the best looking so far.I will definately buy from here again. Thanks Homelite!

I purchased this saw to use in clearing lower pine branches from trees to increase my fire safety. Worked great and makes it a lot easier than using the old bow saw to cut the branches. Our HOA requires all branches 12ft and under to be taken off trees to help improve fire safety.

haven't had a chance to cut with the saw due to the weather. The saw is light weight and this is what I wanted. Expect to use the saw for light cutting and trimming. The service [...] was great. [...]

I have not used the saw much yet due to wet weather. It seems to be ok and cranks easy.
I own 2 other Homelite saws that are larger.

I was using the product to trim palm trees. No way to start saw in tree because clutch is so tight saw just about breaks to start it. After about 15 minutes it stalls and won't run more than a minute or so. I am looking for a dealer now to see if they can repair it.

I knocked down 8 trees around 65-85 feet in height in no time, cut them to firewood length and stacked a cord in a half on the curb for those who would take it. I've always used Homelite brand saws and wish I could find the little 10 inch I use to have for branch cutting. This saw is great. My old 3800 still runs well also.

[...] the saw runs great. I am still ahead over what a new one would have cost. No hard feelings. God is great.

My saw self destructed after the first tank of gas. Called Homelite. They said take it to the local dealer. The engine was replaced. My saw is now the saw I hoped it would be. We all make mistakes, it's how you fix them that makes the difference.
Satisfied customer.

Saw started and ran good until I tried to cut a log. It cut one medium pine log and then cut off. The next day I had the same experience and called Homelite and they gave me a name of a repair shop. They have had it over two weeks. Hopefully when I get it I will have better results.

Had trouble with first saw - [...] still starts hard - and the emergency brake is so located that it hurts the hand while startingover all - good buy - decent saw for light work

The saw ran well for the first five hours. It then was unable to continue running. I took it a Homelite approved repair station. It remained there for five weeks. The shop was waiting for a replacement carburetor. I finally picked it up today. I hope problems are over.

Ran one tank of gas through it then it wouldn't start - motor got very hot. Still under warranty. Waiting for the local Homelite dealer to fix it. Maybe I just got a bad one? Waiting to see how Homelite / CPO honors their warranty ... stay tuned.

Small,lightweight and powerful.....
Comments about Homelite Homelite Factory-Reconditioned 35cc 14" Gas Chain Saw:
[...]The saw as received looked brand new. No signs of any prior use. I assembled it the same day I got it and it started up with only a few pulls. I immediately tried to trim off a 3 inch diameter branch and it slowed down under full throttle when warm. I had to fiddle with the throttle to get it to run well enough to cut the small branch. Homelite tech support gave me an authorization to take to a service center and they saw the same problem. They spent some time adjusting the carb and it appears to run correctly, now. Why would not the "rebuild people" catch this problem before me?Strangely, the factory label on this 35 cc saw says it has a 42 cc engine. Hmmm?

I have used homelite saws for years and this works like a charm. I found no use for the chain brake that saws now have which gets in the way of some cuts, so I removed it.

THIS LITTLE SAW HAS ONE OF THE MOST POWERFUL ENGINES FOR ITS SIZE. I CAN USE IT WHILE I AM CLIMBING TREES TO TRIM THEM AND IT IS EASY TO USE.

High power for a 14" chainsaw
Comments about Homelite Homelite Factory-Reconditioned 35cc 14" Gas Chain Saw:
I purchased the saw to limb oak trees that we have cut down. Lots of guys and lots of big saws do most of the firewood, but these lightweight limbing saws are great for "brushing" the trees...getting rid of the canopy. I purchased extra chains before the saw arrived and was surprised that the included chain was dull...like it had hit a rock or concrete. I'm not sure the included chain can be re-sharpened.
The saw was stopped and restarted often without any issue. Follow the directions on first starting the saw, and then first pull starts when warm.

This saw was a great value for the price. I needed a dependable saw to take a couple of trees down, and keep branches cleared at my house and hunting property, but did not want to pay a lot of money for the once or twice a year I would use it. This saw was perfect.
Comments about Homelite Homelite Factory-Reconditioned 35cc 14" Gas Chain Saw:
This saw gets it done, it is great for all the Chain saw jobs the average homeowner would need. I highly recommend this saw. Only one drawl back, keep your eye on the chain, it requires a close watching and tightning offten, but not so much that it is a problem.

We recently had a major ice storm, I bought a Poulan chain saw first. The chain came off 3 times in the first 45 min. I took it back bought the Homelite from CPO and from the first time I started it I new it was going to be what I wanted. It works like it was supposed to work.

Comments about Homelite Homelite Factory-Reconditioned 35cc 14" Gas Chain Saw:
I needed a lightweight, cheap, saw for trimming
fencelines and trees in my yard. This one fits the bill. It is lightweight and easy to use one
handed and the short bar makes getting in to the
trunk of trees easy. Not for log cutting, but a great pruning, trimming, arborist saw.
