Comments about Homelite Homelite Factory-Reconditioned 38cc 16" Gas Chain Saw:

My first gas chain saw. You have to assemble it - ie. fit the chain and this is relatively simple if you follow the directions in the manual. Once assembled I put in some two stroke mix and got the machine to work. Has plenty of power and is ideal for cutting branches into firewood. Haven't used it for any other purpose as yet.

Comments about Homelite Homelite Factory-Reconditioned 38cc 16" Gas Chain Saw:

I was lucky to have an inoperable homelite that I was able to steal parts off of for this one. The chain adjuster plastic drive gear was stripped on this one and also very hard to turn. The saw does not like to be used for any length of time, lukily I only wanted it to trim small limbs. I another brand saw if I really want to do any serious cutting.

The saw I have now is a good machine so far. My total experience with my order, however was not all that pleasant. The first saw that I received was not complete, so, of course, not usable. I have not yet received instructions on how to return the first saw.

Comments about Homelite Homelite Factory-Reconditioned 38cc 16" Gas Chain Saw:

Love the saw after taking to dealer for carburetor adjustment; which was covered by warranty. Would be nice if you would include "pacman" tool and instructions on how to do this without having to take to dealer. Also need T25 torx tool to take cover off.

The saw starts great if you follow instructions exactly as stated in the manuel.

The saw is a joy to use because it is light weight, balanced, has plenty of power, and has very little vibration.
