This is an up date, and to pass along some info that might help address other users concerns about the weight, and how to support it. I recently found a product that attaches to a shovel or rake handle. The product attaches so that you can hold and support the shovel or rake with out bending keeping your hand and arm stright. It is a back saver and may work on the clippers.

Powered right through just about anything that would fit in the clippers. No sign of problems that I had seen mentioned online. Have only used it on about 10 twelve foot shrubs so far. So far so good.

I HAD SOME DOUBTS BUT IT IS A GREAT PIECE OF MACHINERY, SO IT WAS HARD TO REALIZE THAT SOMETHING FAILED THAT REQUIRED REPLACEMENT.

Well pleased with this product.Its just what I expected.You want go wrong when you buy this hedge trimmer.I like the telescoping handle you can get those hard to reach places.Also like the rotating trimmer head you can cut at different angles.Very good product.

Havn't had time to fully use it, tryed it out extending the handle fully feels a little top heavy, I think a support handle would help support the weight, and would make it a little more user frindly. Shopped around found a similar product with a support handle which helped with the control and weight. I looked into buying the support handle and attaching to the homelite, but it did not look like it would fit. However I think the unit will work fine for my needs, keeping off the ladder and extending out to get the hard to reach stuff.

Really like this product-just had a few snafus when I first used it, I'm a short but strong woman and it was a little too heavy for me when it was extended all the way out and wanted to keep it in the running position while I relocated my hold, but you can't lock the 'on' button open, so I had to start and stop quite a bit. That and I cut the cord as well, my fault of course for not paying attention,but otherwise this is a very cool product and I would definitely recommend and continue to use. Thanks

I use it to trim ornamental short trees. It is too heavy extend out. It says it has a 10' reach. It must include the trimmer in it because it is too short. I have a telescopic chain saw that extends 2-3' longer.

I USE IT TO REACH THE HIGH SECTION OF MY HEDGES. I LIKE THAT I CAN REACH FURTHER AWAY TO CUT WHAT NEEDS TO BE CUT. WHEN YOU CUT FOR A WHILE, TENDS TO BE HEAVY AND HARD TO HOLD ON THE ARMS.

I have used this product for trimming tall bushes and some trees. It is great for reaching the top of trees/large bushes. It is a little heavy and awkward when extended. I have, however, been very pleased with this product.

The only down-side it has is that it gets heavy when fully extended and the head is tipped. At 63 years young, it can wear you out quick. But I figured that going in, so I just take more breaks. Otherwise it's a great tool with good power.

The product is difficult to use as it is extended because it spreads out your arms and makes operating the on-off switch awkward. As the unit is extended it becomes top heavy, putting undo strain on the back, shoulder and arms. A support harness would make this item much more comfortable to use.

The Pole Hedge Trimmer is a fantastic well designed tool that will reduce your hedge trimming time in half. I found that for hedges up to 12 feet tall you no longer need a ladder to trim the sides and top. The articulating head can be positioned from 0 to 90 degrees which makes trimming the top flat and straight very easy. Even for small hedges the pole hedge trimmer extends your reach reducing time and enabling you to get a better view of the line you're cutting. A must have tool for anyone with a hedge.

Great product for the price. I have two mid-sized trees in my yard. I can't reach them any longer with my standard hedge trimmer. This product really gives me the extra length needed. A little heavier than it looks, and can wear you out over prolonged periods of cutting. Still, if you have tall shrubs or trees, it's the way to go.

I am trimming a 10 ft high and wide laurel hedge. I had the battery version of this but the battery didn't hold a charge very long and would stall on many of the branches. The corded model works much better. It cuts better and I don't have to stop to recharge the battery.
