This is a lightweight, powerful edging tool with telescoping handle. It has an easy-to-use edging guide. Since it is electric, be sure you can reach where you plan to edge with your cord.

Powerful, light weight, easy to handle. I do not know why someone would pay extra at local store to get a new item that is old after the first use, recon items are checked over better than new items and I have never had a problem with recon items verses new items.

This blade cuts through thick grass and leaves a professional appearance to any yard needing to be edged. Much better then string trimmers.

This does a fantastic job of edging (especially on tough St. Augestine grass). It can also be set deep enough to make a small trench for putting in landscape edging around flowerbeds.It's powerful, easy to use and (unlike a string trimmer/edger) doesn't get bogged down or tangled up.Item [...] looks like new. My only minor gripe is that no owners or instruction manual came with it (I guess if I need one I can download it at Homelite.com).

Bought rebuilt item[...] instruction book was included. I have only plugged it in and turned it on to see if it works or was DOA. It works fine, but only had it on briefly. I believe it will be OK!!
